Caffé Verdi – 21 Wolfe Street – This could be the most fun you’ve had in a long time!  Tuesday evening from 19h30 to 22h00 is Trivial Pursuit night – you can play at Caffé Verdi .  Well worth the R20 cover charge, quiz master John keeps the questions coming… Great fun and popular, you will need to book. Bonus!! On a chilly evening there’s a warm fire going!  A sophisticated bar with tasty light meals available. It’s closed on Sunday but open for the rest of the week.

Four and Twenty – 23 Wolfe Street – New and trendy, the place to go for a delicious breakfast, the pastries are divine. Open Tuesday – Sunday 8am to 5pm. Closed on Monday. The menu is eclectic and the talented chefs make frequent changes.   Beautiful décor is carried through to the divine table appointments. If you haven’t been yet, you need to get there…

Erewan Thai Restaurant – 15 Wolfe Street – Authentic Thai cuisine the rave reviews abound; it offers great value, the service is great and the food exceptional.  The Crispy Duck comes highly recommended.

Kamili Coffee – 1 ½ Wolfe Street – In the very tempting Pierre Cronje showroom in Wynberg Village, Theo Snyckers is a Coffee aficionado and very interesting to chat to.  He has some wonderful preserves and pure honey available in his shop.  We had an excellent cappuccino with a delicious almond pastry.  Freshly roasted Kamili Coffee Beans are on sale. Open from 8am to 5pm.

Penny Lane – In Penny Lane opposite Maynard Mall.  This super little eatery run by hands on owner Cherie has had great review after great review.  The Traditional Breakfasts must be the tastiest and best value Breakfasts in Cape Town.  The light lunches are also very good and reasonably priced.  It opened in Wynberg in 1995 and soon after it opened, people were queuing to get a table. Value!  Not easy to find but find it you must.

The Terrace Coffee Shop – Chart Farm – The coffee terrace serves delicious home-made cakes, breakfasts and lunches with stunning views to match.  Huge Rose garden and you can choose your favourites for a reasonable price to take home.
